Fresh Eggs from Free-range Hens

We have a healthy flock of Buff Orpington chickens that have just begun to lay delicious brown eggs. You can tell by the firm whites and deep yellow yolks that these eggs are absolutely fresh and not mass-produced. The difference is in our hen's diets, rich in grasses and native plants that enhance the level of Omega-3 fats in the eggs.

We offer large and medium-sized eggs by the dozen. Once you try them we think you'll agree that there's nothing better than a free-range egg!

About Our Hens

Our Buff Orpingtons are beautiful, golden-feathered birds with gentle dispositions. They are a heritage breed with natural instincts to forage for food, outsmart predators and nest. While the term “free-range” has been abused by some producers who overcrowd their birds on small plots, our small flock has ample acreage on which to range. By day, they graze over pasture and open meadows. At night, they are secured in a safe, dry henhouse. Shelter, fresh water and natural grains are available to them at all times. We do not give them antibiotics, animal by-products or growth hormones. Instead, we rely on cleanliness, nutrition, sunshine and fresh air to build their immune systems and keep them healthy.

Our chickens range freely and get lots of exercise. They need more space, use more energy and eat more than confined birds so their eggs may cost a bit more. We think it's worth it and we think you'll agree.
